Vilnius
Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, is known for its Baroque architecture,
especially in its medieval Old Town. But the buildings that line the partially
cobbled streets of this neighborhood reflect different styles and eras, from

16th-century Gate of Dawn, which has a shrine with a sacred icon of the Virgin
Mary contains Mary who once guarded the entrance to the original city
